I love having the opportunity to lead a team of amazing educators to provide a welcoming environment where we are able to develop positive and meaningful relationships with all families and children.
I was drawn to this career path through my interest in early years education and through recommendations from my peers. It seemed like the right choice from the moment I began my journey in the profession and I have had the opportunity to move into new roles over many years of experience.
Being with Lang Park from the beginning and being able to go through exceeding at the service twice was an amazing experience to be a part of and then to be able to move into a centre director role at Acacia Park has been an amazing opportunity for myself. I have enjoyed every moment of being able to be a part of this team.
Acacia Park is a purpose built service that is a sister centre to another local service exceeding in all areas. We have an amazing team of educators who are passionate about their job and provide a place where all children have the opportunity to explore their own interests to develop a sense of belonging. We have a very hands-on management team across both services to provide an environment that promotes both quality care and education.

There are many things that I enjoy about my work at Acacia Park but, if I were to have to choose one it would be the opportunity that I get to support, lead and mentor our team of educators and provide high quality care and educational programs for our children.
As an Auntie of 9 nieces and nephews, I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in the early years. As I began my studies and learning about the importance of Early Childhood Education in 2012, I knew this was the career path for me with my long term goal to one day be a Centre Director.
A standout moment for me is the wonderful feedback we receive and the incredible relationships we have with our families who entrust us and choose us to be a part of their child’s learning journey. There is no greater joy than assisting families as they begin their early learning journey, seeing children reach important milestones and preparing our kinder children for the transition to school.
Another standout moment that is important to me is that I get to work alongside a supportive management team where I have learnt so much and have been able to excel within my role.
At Acacia Park, we have strong values, high standards and we pride ourselves in providing high quality education where children have the opportunity to engage in a play based learning curriculum. We have a team of dedicated and passionate educators who go above and beyond to create a sense 0f belonging for our children, create inviting play spaces for children to learn, thrive and flourish and create a loving home away from home.

I love building relationships with the children and families. We are educating and caring for their most important and loved little person and I believe ensuring they feel safe and supported in their children’s learning and journey to school is so important.
I have always wanted to be a teacher but ended up studying for my certificate and diploma for ECE when I finished school. After running rooms in all age groups for 11 years, I believed it was time to further develop my knowledge and experience and move into kindergarten teaching. This is my first year as an ECT and I have learnt and grown so much.
Finishing my bachelor and my first year as an ECT! I believe I am growing and learning everyday and seeing families develop trust and confidence in me as not only a first year teacher, but also in the first year of a new service is so wonderful. Transitioning children from kindergarten to primary education, which I believe is one of the biggest steps of their early years makes me feel so accomplished as a teacher.
I believe Acacia park will always have the children’s best interests at heart. They have such high quality standards not only in their educational programs but also in their resources, educators and children's health and wellbeing.

I have always held a passion for working with young children which I believe was fostered through my own mum who has worked in Primary Schools for many years. I understand the importance of the first five years in children’s lives and believe I can have a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
A standout in my career would absolutely be the moment I completed all my study and graduated with my Bachelor of Education. After working full time in Early Childhood for many years while also studying I felt very proud to have accomplished such an achievement.
