Lang Park Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten is located at 185 Warrandyte Road, Langwarrin. It's the sister centre to Acacia Park.
The centre is a designed environment dedicated to sparking curiosity, exploration, celebrating individualities through education and play.
Lang Park Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten offers children a safe space to grow.
We've created an open and fresh environment, washed in natural light with a sprawling outside play area imagined for every age. The centre is built like a backyard, ready for hearty play!
We are devoted to cultivating your child's playing needs and educational needs alike; that is why every piece is purposefully chosen throughout the centre.
Our centre is experience-driven; we are conscious of sustainability, tactile experience,
learning, and excursions!
Our Rooms
Honey Pot
The time to thrive and grow.
The room has been designed to create a place where your little one will feel safe, loved and become ready in their own time to explore the world.
The light-filled and open room has an intentionally open floor space to allow children the freedom to explore in a safe area.
Our flexible and responsive routine responds to your child's needs and stage of development. It combines rest, feeding times, and activity-based learning to help your child develop social skills and gross motor skills.
Mat sessions with our educator's support help infants develop strength through floor play and 'tummy time' as they move around and engage in exciting play activities.
A separate, cosy sleeping area is provided so children can maintain their routines from home and make the centre a home away from home.
The nursery aims to provide a caring and homely environment with lots of nurturing, giving our babies a sense of well-being, becoming, and belonging.
Bottlebrush
Stimulating learning through active and sensory play.
Toddlers acquire knowledge through active exploration; this is the age where your little one becomes a very busy bee! The Pre-Toddler Room is a stimulating open learning environment for children aged from approximately 12 months to 2 years of age. The Pre-Toddler room is the perfect environment for your little explorer to partake in active, sensory play and learning.
Our educators will support your little explorer as they engage in the world around them, learning and discovering new things every day.
The Pre-Toddler Room is set up to engage your child with new experiences, based on their age, stage of development and interests, as they further develop their motor, sensory and social skills. This is also a time where we are able to encourage children’s self-help skills such as washing their hands or feeding themselves!
Gum Nut
Discovering the world from A-Z.
Curiosity and wonder fill your little one's imagination. At this age of 2 to 3 years, we build on the momentum of your toddler's learning and natural curiosity.
It is an essential time for language acquisition and development and for children to learn different ways of communicating and build relationships. We build on these skills with your child through activities including individual and group time, quiet time, sensory play and messy play.
Our educators turn every moment into an opportunity for learning and encouragement. Singing, dancing, drawing and painting are favourite activities of this age group and are a daily part of the child-initiated program.
Children are encouraged to learn self-help skills and to take care of their belongings. Those involved with toilet training will be allowed the time and patience to achieve this fundamental life lesson.
Banksia
A time when a child's curiosity becomes inspired.
Expression is at the forefront of your child's mind; your child knows what they want to play and do; they're creatively curious! It's time to explore the world of experimentation, creation, learning and pretend play!
By actively listening to your children's voices, we have implemented a stimulating and holistic program for 3 to 4-year-olds designed to prepare children for school socially, emotionally and academically.
We run our Pre – Kindergarten room with a Bachelor trained Kindergarten Teacher. Our program emphasises and extends basic numeracy and literacy skills while encouraging children to become independent with their belongings. Opportunities are provided to each child to form friendships and play with other children in group activities and as well as undertake solo activities.
Outdoor play continues to develop gross motor skills. Cooking experiences and serving meals help children gain an understanding of healthy living. Special days each week enable parents to come and share their special talents or just participate in our cooking or science activities.
An "I can do it" mentality is taught to your children to encourage curiosity and exploration.
Wattle
Preparing your child for the world beyond.
Children's curiosity is a powerful catalyst for learning. In the Kindergarten room, we focus on our 4 - 5 years old to prepare them for the world beyond.
The Kindergarten Room is a government recognised Kindergarten Program. A primary focus of the program is social awareness and building independence skills. We continually encourage children's independence and self-help skills by asking them to be responsible for putting things in their bags, putting on their own sunscreen, dressing themselves, etc.
At this age, children have an innate curiosity in the world around them, our
hands-on, play-based curriculum gives children daily opportunities to direct their learning by choosing relevant and meaningful experiences.
Our curriculum mixes learning and fun; it is time for your child to thrive in a safe space! The program increases their school readiness by consolidating basic literacy and numeracy skills, promoting their social skills, and embedding the importance of respecting each other.
In the Kindergarten Room, we build the foundations for lifelong learning.
After Kinder, it’s time for the next exciting adventure and everything that comes next in your child's life.
